The first battles took place in a close struggle, and it was important for the teams to organize attacks through the flanks. Already on the 3rd line, Vanat crossed from the left flank, but the defenders blocked him. Then, on the 9th line, the same Vanat rejected the pass to Kabaev, but was unable to break through from the first shot.

Gra gradually gained momentum, and moments began to appear in both teams. On the 17th line, Yarmolenko was on top of his game, but after serving, Tymchyk shot over the goal. On the 36th stage, the most unsafe moment of the first half was lost: Yarmolenko hit the shot, which hit the bar, and Vivcharenko, finishing, could not get it near the goal.
