In the third round of the UPL, Veres suffered a 0:2 defeat from Kryvbas. The game, which took place on August 18 in Rivne, was full of tense moments and deletions. Already in the 12th minute, Prince Adu put Kryvbas ahead, taking advantage of the confusion in the opponent's penalty area. In the 28th minute, Veres was left with ten men after Maksym Smiyan was sent off, and in the second half, the Kyivians also lost one player - Oleksandr Romanchuk.
Timur Stetskov put the decisive point in the match, converting a penalty in the 81st minute, which finally secured the victory for Kryvbas. This result allowed the team from Kryvyi Rih to rise in the standings, while Veres continues to search for its game in the new season.
