On September 16, 2024, at 18:00, the Kolos stadium in Kovalivka will host the 6th round match of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL), in which Kolos and LNZ will meet.

Kolos (Kovalivka)

Kolos is going through a difficult period in the championship, having lost the last three matches - against Chornomorets (0:1), Veres (0:1) and Oleksandria (1:2). The start was more successful with two draws, but then a series of defeats began. The team's problems are not so much in the defense, which works quite stably, but in the attack, where there is a clear lack of creativity and ideas. Even in a recent friendly match with Left Bank, the only goal was scored from a penalty.

Coach Oleksandr Pozdeev is trusted, despite the unsuccessful results. A new challenge for the team is to find ways to improve their performance. The reinforcements of Ilir Krasniqi and Giorgi Moistrapishvili may provide fresh ideas in defense and midfield, but the question remains whether this will be enough to overcome the crisis.

LNZ (Cherkasy)

LNZ, on the contrary, demonstrates good results under the leadership of Spanish coach Andres Carrasco. The Cherkasy team confidently beats opponents on their home field, defeating Left Bank (1:0), Rukh (3:1) and Karpaty (2:1). The only losses of points were in matches with Oleksandria (0:2) and Dynamo Kyiv (0:1), which speaks of the serious ambitions of the team.

Carrasco brought an attacking style to LNZ's game, which distinguishes the team from other UPL participants. Last season, LNZ secured a place in the middle of the table, but this season they are clearly determined to fight for more, including possible European Cup positions.
