Karpaty - Vorskla 1:1 (5th round, September 31, 2024) - Review of the match Saturday's program of the fifth round of the Ukrainian Premier League started at the legendary stadium "Ukraine" near Lviv. Mіstevі "Karpaty", which demonstrate a nasty game in their first season after being promoted to the elite division under the leadership of Vladislav Lupashka, took on "Vorskla" from Poltava, and the match was expected to be the same "green-b" Elim" derby.

The teams approached this match with different mindsets. “Vorskla” did not play last year after rescheduling the match against “Dynamo”, while “Karpaty” received defeats against “LNZ” in Cherkasy, which added even more tension to these rivalries.

From the first Khvylin, “Karpaty” took the initiative and began to actively press on the opponent’s goal. This bore fruit already on the 15th quarter, when Chachua Vikon made a master cross from the right flank, and the young Shah completed the pass, sending the ball to the empty goal. “Karpaty” continued to create dangerous moments, and Ocheretka’s shot on the crossbar from inside the penalty area became one of them, but there were no additional goals before the break.

After the interruption, the situation on the field changed dramatically. “Vorskla” began to attack, while “Karpaty” moved back, allowing the guests to create chances. This led to the fact that on the 57th Khvilina “Vorskla” leveled the rakhunok. Krupsky threw the ball with his head after serving from the left flank, and Sklyar fell ahead of the defender, sending the ball to the goal.

For a long time, “Vorskla” continued to squeeze, but Kemkin’s miracle in the “Karpaty” goal did not allow the guests to score more. Oleksandr Sklyar had another chance to take his team forward, but his shot was blocked by the goalkeeper. “Karpaty” apparently did nothing in the attack, and the match ended in a natural draw, which reflects the symmetry of forces on the field.

In the upcoming round, “Karpaty” will play on the road against “Shakhtar”, and “Vorskla” will take on “Rukh” Lviv.
