On September 14, Craven Cottage in London will host a match of the fourth round of the English Premier League, where Fulham will meet West Ham. The game is scheduled to kick off at 17:00 local time.

Fulham have a successful history of meetings with West Ham, having beaten them in their last two matches, including a 5-0 thrashing at Craven Cottage last season. Marco Silva's side are aiming for a third successive victory over the Hammers, something the Cottagers have not managed since 1966.

Fulham's season has started well, despite a 1-1 draw with Ipswich before the international break. The team picked up important points in a 2-1 home win over Leicester and are working on integrating new players such as Emile Smith Rowe, who has already scored, and Reece Nelson, both former Arsenal players, while other new signings Joachim Andersen and Sander Berge are likely to make their debuts later in the season after playing for their respective countries.

West Ham are a comfortable opponent for Marco Silva, as the Portuguese manager has won six of his nine games against them, although half of those successes came under David Moyes.

West Ham are undergoing a rebuild under Julen Lopetegui, with the Spanish coach keen to change the team's style to one that is more possession-based and attacking. So far the new strategy has failed to deliver results, with the only win this season coming from Moyes' old methods - counter-attacks and set pieces in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

The international break has given Lopetegui time to work with new arrivals, including Carlos Soler, who arrived on loan on the last day of the transfer window. However, Niklas Füllkrug, one of the key forwards, is likely to miss the game due to an injury sustained while playing for Germany.
